Brett Williams is a play-by-play commentator whose enthusiasm for his craft is matched only by his passion for touching the lives of his audience. He believes that sports have the power to unite communities—and that as a broadcaster, he is uniquely positioned to help bring that about.

While working full-time for his alma mater, the University of South Carolina, Brett currently freelances for several sportscasting outlets, most notably Learfield and

SEC Network Plus. He previously served four years as the voice of women's sports at Western Kentucky University. At WKU, Brett was the women's basketball and volleyball radio broadcaster for Learfield as well as the TV broadcaster for volleyball, soccer, and softball on the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network.

Other prominent career stops include Queens University of Charlotte, where Brett was one of two broadcasters covering all sports, and the Sugar Land Skeeters of independent baseball, for whom he worked as a secondary play-by-play commentator for four summers.

A 2017 summa cum laude graduate of South Carolina and its Honors College, Brett earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in sport and entertainment management. While in college, he served as the TV voice of the Gamecock club hockey team for a network he founded and as one of the commentators for high-school football, basketball, and baseball on local radio station WPUB-FM.

With nearly 600 calls under his belt, Brett looks forward to informing and entertaining sports fans for years to come with stories and moments that matter.
